Comment from Agrometeorologist

In the second reporting period, i.e. from 11 April to 10 June 2010, there was no occurrence of agricultural drought conditions in Poland. The climatic water balance values (CWB), on the basis of which the risk assessment of drought is calculated was slightly negative for Central Poland. However, the CWB calculated values for winter cereals, spring cereals, rape and turnip rape, sugar beet, fruit shrubs, fruit trees, strawberries are much higher than the critical value. In the rest of the Poland the CWB values are positive. .....
